About the Project

The project is run by some of the Grantham’s SSCP DTP students who are interested in understanding public perceptions of climate change. The project is designed to allow us to better understand what messages are being communicated to individuals and groups in society, and how we might be able to contribute to the growing debate around science and its presence in the media.

With the images that are collected and submitted by the public, we will draw some thematic trends to allow us to build an idea of what key messages are being received by the sample of contributors. We are also reproducing the images online under the creative commons licence (attributing names to the images where possible). This will allow us to highlight the great work that has been submitted, along with our analysis and results.

The project timeline is expected to culminate with the publication of a brief analysis report which seeks try and add some answers to the question of “What public perceptions of climate change exist?”.
